The Office of Operations is made up of six departments that support the district's mission of providing a premier education for all.

 

  • Transportation
    Responsible for the transportation of eligible Saint Paul students to and from school.

  • Nutrition and Commercial Services
    Responsible for the planning and preparation of meals and the food service throughout the district, as well as the production, printing and mailing of many district communications material.

Readiness for School Final Report

As reported by the superintendent at the BOE meeting of September 22, Saint Paul Public Schools experienced a smooth opening of schools this year. Attached to this update is the final Readiness Report detailing all aspects of school openings for SY 2009 - 10.

Capital Expenditure Advisory Committee (CEAC) Applicants

Board of Education members are requested to solicit applicants for membership on the Capital Expenditure Advisory Committee (CEAC) for the 2009 - 2010 year. Currently only five appointments have been made to this committee, leaving 16 vacancies. It is critical that applications be received and appointments made quickly as the committee will be beginning its annual work soon. The first CEAC meeting is expected to be scheduled for late October.

Capital Bond Recommendations

At the September 1 Committee of the Board Meeting, administration will present a recommendation for the allocation of capital bond funds. As outlined in the new capital bonding process, the Capital Expenditure Advisory Committee (CEAC) and administration have developed the joint recommendation.
